Data sources
How BrickDb uses these sources
Rebrickable
Catalogue data from Rebrickable.
Set, part, minifigure and colour data comes from Rebrickable, used under their terms of service. Attribution is requested rather than required; we give it anyway. rebrickable.com
BrickLink
Pricing data from BrickLink.
Price and marketplace data comes from BrickLink, used under their API terms of use and never held longer than those terms permit. bricklink.com
Brickset
LEGO's recommended retail prices and product facts about sets come from Brickset, through its API. Brickset does not ask for attribution; we give it anyway. brickset.com

The scanner’s starting table of collectable-minifigure bag codes comes from this project, used under its licence and corroborated against two further independent datasets. What our own users scan is recorded separately and is never merged into it. https://github.com/le0pard/lego-scanner
Price and release-date datasets
BrickDb has no price history from before its own ingest started. These licensed, third-party datasets fill that gap and are committed and redistributed under their own licences:
- LEGO release dates, worldwide retail prices and Polish aftermarket prices — CC BY 4.0. Data on LEGO sets release dates and worldwide retail prices combined with aftermarket transaction prices in Poland. LEGO sets and price 1955-2023 dataset by alessiasimone, kaggle.com/datasets/alessiasimone/lego-sets-and-price-1955-2023, CC0 1.0 (public domain). Committed and attributed; not imported — its Set Price column carries no currency, no date, and values that are evidently computed rather than observed. Price sources
The sources BrickDb reads prices from today. Where a provider's terms require a notice, it follows in the provider's own words; where they require none, the line says what is read.
- Rakuten Advertising — Retail prices from LEGO's own online shops, read from the product feeds of LEGO's affiliate programme in the Rakuten Advertising network. The enabled sources: LEGO® Shop (US), LEGO® Shop (FR). A link to the shop is paid for and labelled as advertising.rakutenadvertising.com
- Awin — Shop prices from the product feeds of merchants that have approved BrickDb in the Awin affiliate network. A link to such a shop is paid for and labelled as advertising. The enabled sources: Hamleys, The Entertainer, Proshop, LEGO® Shop (BR), idee+spiel, Spielemax, Thalia.www.awin.com
- Tradedoubler — Shop prices for LEGO® sets from the product feeds of merchants that have accepted BrickDb in the Tradedoubler affiliate network – books, e-books and other media in those feeds are recognised by their ISBN and never shown as a set's price. The enabled sources: Hugendubel. A link to the shop is paid for and labelled as advertising.www.tradedoubler.com
- eBay — Asking prices of current listings, read through eBay's Browse interface for a fixed list of eBay marketplaces. The enabled sources: eBay United States, eBay United Kingdom, eBay Germany, eBay Australia, eBay Canada, eBay France, eBay Italy, eBay Spain.www.ebay.com
- BrickLink — Price and marketplace data comes from BrickLink, used under their API terms of use and never held longer than those terms permit. The term 'Bricklink' is a trademark of Bricklink, Inc. This application uses the Bricklink API but is not endorsed or certified by Bricklink, Inc.www.bricklink.com
- Brickset — LEGO's recommended retail prices and product facts about sets come from Brickset, through its API. Brickset does not ask for attribution; we give it anyway.brickset.com
- Blue Ocean — The cover prices of LEGO magazine issues, per country, come from Blue Ocean Entertainment's own shop, read by our nightly crawl and kept as dated prices.www.blue-ocean.de
iDisplayit – display cases made to fit a set, from its product feed in the Awin network. They are offered on the set page and labelled as advertising; the feed is never read as a price.
Photographs
Photographs of your own collection are yours. BrickDb hosts no product renders, box art or instruction booklets — where such an image is shown, it is loaded from the source that licenses it, never copied into our storage.
Typefaces
Both typefaces are served from our own server rather than a font CDN, so opening a page contacts no third party.

Machine-learning models
Reading the set number off a photographed box uses pre-trained text-recognition models that ship inside BrickDb rather than being downloaded or called over the network. They run on our own servers, on the processor, and send nothing anywhere. Each is redistributed under its own licence:
- PP-OCRv3 mobile text detection (ONNX) (
det.onnx) — Apache-2.0. Published by monkt/paddleocr-onnx. Derived from PaddleOCR. - PP-OCRv5 mobile English text recognition (ONNX) (
