For days, LEGO's livestream page has shown a black box covered in question marks under the line “Something BIG is coming!”, billed as the reveal of a new mystery set for Black Friday. On 3 November 2026 the LEGO Group answered the riddle in a press release: it is LEGO® Ideas Godzilla (21375), at 5,363 pieces the largest LEGO Ideas model ever launched, according to LEGO.

The livestream
LEGO scheduled the reveal as a livestream on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, at 5pm GMT (17:00 UTC). According to LEGO, LEGO designers Jordan David Scott and Jim Clayton join fan designer Matthew Esposito, whose idea the set is, for a live Q&A. In selected markets LEGO Insiders can enter a sweepstake for a signed set; membership is required and LEGO's terms apply.
You can watch it on LEGO's livestream page (Ad).

Rumour and reality
Rumours of a Godzilla set for Black Friday had been circulating since the summer, putting it at 5,360 or 5,364 pieces. The figures above are now confirmed by LEGO's press release. What is still open is which other offers and gifts LEGO will bring for Black Friday: anything you read about that remains a rumour until LEGO announces it.
LEGO Black Friday: the dates
According to LEGO, Black Friday starts on 27 November 2026 and the weekend of offers ends with Cyber Monday on 30 November 2026, while supplies last. LEGO Insiders also get offers during Insiders Weekend, which LEGO places on the weekend before Black Friday. The overview is on LEGO's Black Friday page (Ad).
What to watch on Black Friday
- According to LEGO, the 40888 gift comes only with a purchase on LEGO.com or in a LEGO Store, only from 27 to 30 November 2026, and only while supplies last.
- The Insiders offers need a LEGO Insiders account – set one up before Insiders Weekend.
- Nobody knows today whether other shops will sell Godzilla for less later. Compare before you buy rather than betting on a rumour.
