How the advent calendar works

From 1 to 24 December, open one door a day on BrickDb and enter that day's draw for a LEGO® item.

BrickDb's advent calendar has 24 doors, one for each day from 1 to 24 December. Today's door shows today's prize, and opening it while you are signed in with a confirmed e-mail address enters you in that day's draw. Past doors stay open to look at, but only today's door enters a draw. The draw runs automatically after midnight, Berlin time, and is recorded; if you win, we write to you, and you have seven days to claim the prize. The draw is for people aged 18 or over who live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, and anybody else can still open every door. In its season the calendar is on Home, in the menu and in the footer.

One door a day

The calendar's 24 doors open one by one, by the date in Berlin, whatever time zone you are in. A future door stays locked and tells you the day it opens. Today's door shows its prize: signed out you can look at it, and signed in you take part. Past doors can be opened again to see what was behind them.

The daily draw

Opening today's door while you are signed in enters you in that day's draw, once a day. Before your first door you confirm three things, once: that you are 18 or over, that you live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, and that you accept the participation terms. The draw runs automatically after midnight and is recorded. If you win, we write to you, and you have seven days to claim the prize. A door cannot be opened offline, because the server's date decides which door is today's.

Frequently asked questions

Who can win in the advent calendar?

People aged 18 or over who live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland and have confirmed their e-mail address. Everybody else can open every door and look at the prizes, without a draw entry. The participation terms, linked on the calendar's page, give the full rules.

Can I open the doors I missed?

Yes. Every past door can be opened to see its prize, but only today's door enters a draw. Each day has its own draw, so a missed day cannot be entered later.

How do I find out whether I won?

The draw runs automatically after midnight, Berlin time. If you win, BrickDb writes to the e-mail address of your account, and you have seven days to claim the prize.
